DIGITAL FUTURE SOCIETY CALL FOR TECH AND CLIMATE SOLUTIONS
The Digital Transformation is taking a toll on the environment and solutions are needed

While there’s no doubt that digital technologies have changed the way the world works for the better, the environmental cost of these technologies can be high. This is due to the fact that there has been a significant increase in energy consumption through the use of devices, distribution networks and data centres, the extraction of resources and the generation of waste associated with the manufacture and disposal of electronic devices and emissions as well as other environmental impacts generated during the life cycle of technological solutions.
As such, this the Digital Future Society in conjunction with The Barcelona City Council and Mobile World Capital Barcelona is looking for innovators working towards solutions aimed at reducing the carbon footprint of digital technologies. The two winning technologies will benefit from financial support as well as visibility.
