Wednesday 31 July 10:00 – 18:30, Villahoz, Spain.
Startup Village is a movement that’s hoping to change both the entrepreneurial world and the rural world.
It aims to build villages where startups can be created and run under the same conditions as in cities. New technologies allow us to work anywhere, no matter how remote. This requires the creation of innovative ecosystems in all villages. These local ecosystems must be connected at the regional and provincial levels so that they have sufficient critical mass to attract investors and facilitate customer search and international expansion. A high level of connection between local startup ecosystems is the key to creating a Europe-wide startup village.
This first Startup Village workshop brings together the main public and private actors related to entrepreneurship in Spain and Europe:
All these actors, under the coordination of Territorio Emprendimiento (www.territorioemprendimiento.org) and the sponsorship of Arturo Villar, CEO StartupCity Europe Partnership (http://scepstartupcities.eu), will discuss concrete mechanisms to implement the startup village concept in the medium and short term. They will discuss the best way to use existing public funds in public-private collaboration formulas, looking for the public funds to have a multiplier effect similar to the European public-private ventures.
If you’re an entrepreneur. If you’re interested in this new concept. If you want to be part of the revolution of startup villages, come to Villahoz and be part of this new movement that aims to revolutionise the rural world.
