Science versus plastic waste

September 27 @ 9:00 am - October 7 @ 8:00 pm

FIND OUT HOW SCIENTISTS ARE COMBATING MARINE LITTER – AND CONTRIBUTE!

SCIENTIFIC INSIGHTS ON MARINE PLASTIC POLLUTION
We all constantly use plastic bottles, pens, bags, wrappers and so on. It is difficult to avoid plastic.
Unfortunately, we often do not recycle plastic properly either. Every hour, the equivalent of 35 shipping containers filled with plastic is dumped into the seas and oceans. Science and society have to find solutions
together. The Ocean Plastics Lab demonstrates various scientific approaches on how scientists worldwide tackle the
waste problem in seas and oceans. Visitors can find out more about the projects, experiment themselves and
www.oceanplasticslab.net learn about citizen science initiatives.
